(Witness) Will | 13 Apr 1779 | George Pinckney was referred to in the will of Hannah (?) on 13 Apr 1779; In The name of God Amen I Hannah Pinkney of Ushaw in the Chappelry of Esh in the County of Durham being weak in body but of Sound and Disposing mind and Memory Do make this my Last Will and Testament in the Manner following (that is to say) I Give to the Children of my Late son John Pinkney Deceased as follows to Thomas Pinkney the Sum of Twenty five pounds and to John Pinkney the Sum of Twenty five pounds and I Give to Hannah Pinkney the sum of Twenty pounds: I Give to my Son Giles Pinkney the Sum of Fifty pounds I Give to Mary Pinkney the Daughter of Giles Pinkney the Sum of Ten Pounds I Give to Jane Pinkney the Daughter of Giles Pinkney the Sum of Ten pounds I Give to my Daughter Catherine Todd the Wife of Joseph Todd the Sum of Sixty pounds I Give to Hannah Todd the Daughter of Joseph Todd the Sum of Ten pounds I Give to the children of Ralph Swinburn as follows To Thomas Swinburn the Sum of Ten pounds I Give to Ralph Swinburn the Son of Ralph Swinburn the Sum of Ten pounds when he comes into England I Give to Miles Swinburn the Son of Ralph Swinburn Ten pounds when he comes to the age of twenty one years: I Give to George Swinburn the son of Ralph Ten pounds when he comes to the age of Twenty one years: I Give to Mary Pearson The Daughter of Ralph Swinburn the Sum of Ten pounds: I Giver to Hannah Swinburn the Daughter of Ralph Swinburn the Sum of Ten pounds when she comes to the age of Twenty one years: when she comes to the age of Twenty one years: I give to Ester Swinburn the Sum of Ten pounds when she comes to the age of Twenty one years if any of The Children of Ralph Swinburn Dye before they come to the age of Twenty one years Or Marry Then their Legacys to be Equally Divided between Their Brothers and Sisters: I Give to my Son George Pinkney the Sum of Forty pounds And all the rest and residue of my Money Good and Chattles what so ever: I Give to my Son Thomas Pinkney And I do hereby Nominate and appoint my Son Thomas Pinkney My Sole Executor of this My Last Will he paying all My Just Debts Legacys herein before mentioned and My funeral Expenses: And I do hereby revoke All former Wills by me Made and Declare this to be My Last Will In Witness where of I have here unto Set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Nine. Will* | 20 Feb 1785 | George Pinckney left a will on 20 Feb 1785; I George Pinkney of Ushaw in the Chappelry of Esh and County of Durham of sound and Disposing mind and memory Thanks be to god do make this my Last Will in manner following I give to my Dear Wife all my Lands and all the interest of my mone [money]as it is now Let out at Interest and all my household furnish[ments] that is to say my Plate and Linen bedding and other furniture for her ature all Life and att her Death to Dispose of it to my relations as She Pleases I give to my nephew Thomas Pinkney all my live stock Of cattle that is to say all horned cattle and horses sheep and swyne of what nature so ever and all my Implyments [implements] of husbandry and all my Corn in the Barns Stackyard and in the fields or Granary or any other place with all my money in my hands. And I make and appoint him my Sole Executor of this my Last Will he paying all my Just Debts and Legacys and funeral Expenses I Give to my brother Giles Pinkneys daughter Mary Pinkney ten pounds and to the other Children of my Brother Giles Pinkney Sixty pounds to be Equally divided amongst them I Give to my sister Catherine Todds Eigh [eight] Children One hundred pounds to be Equally divided amongst them I Give my sister Hannah Swinburn Children that is to say Thomas Swinburn Miles Swinburn George Swinburn Thirty five pounds apiece Each of them and any Sister , Two Daughters Hannah and Esther Each Twenty pounds I Give to Mary Pearson fifty pounds and her son Thomas Pearson ten pounds All the above Legacys to be paid one year after the Death of my Dear Wife I Give to my nephew Ralphe Swinburn twenty pounds when he comes into England I appoint my Executors to pay my Brother Giles Children the interest of the sum Left to them and Likewise to Thomas Pearson yearly as it comes Due Dated this twentyth day of [February] in the year One thousand seven hundred and Eighty five [declared] by the above testators as his Last Will in the Presence of myself I Give to John Pinkney twenty Pounds I Give to Hannah Pinkney fifteen pounds Signed Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of myself Geo; Pinkney Francis Bradshaw Thomas Atkinson. |
