The Pinckney Family have been in the wars, literally from 1066 to the present day. I think that every one of them deserve a special mention. I've therefore created this page for them. It is not complete yet as it only contains details from the First World War. There will be more to follow. Some of the people listed I have not been able to identify positively yet, can you help ???

The following is a list of the medals awarded for service during the First World War

There have inevitably been casualties along the way. There is a web site run by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. It was established by Royal Charter in 1917, it pays tribute to the 1,700,000 men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the two world wars. There are 7 Pinckneys listed (as below) but the site is worth a visit as it holds much more information than I have listed here. Also, please go to their individual pages here on my site as I have further information about most of them which may be of interest to you.
