One dress was prosented to the Princess of Wales as a specimen of colonial products. Another was given to Lord Chesterfield who had been a warm friend of the colony. The third, which she reserved for herself, is still in the posession of one of here descendants. It is a rich yellow brocade. circa 1750. |
